BGC Skyscrapers Stunning Once Again
The Bonifacio Global City (BGC) skyline in Taguig is a sight to behold at any given day, morning or night. Formerly a part of the military base called Fort Bonifacio, it now transformed into one of the sought-after business districts in Metro Manila with its urban development beginning in the mid-1990s. BGC now boasts of towering infrastructures with ultra modern architecture.
While several residential condominiums, commercial establishments, and corporate headquarters found home in this world-class financial and lifestyle district, its charming cityscape alone allures visitors from across town and even guests from around the world. As you wander towards and through the streets of this thriving community, don't forget to look up and spot some of our favorites:

One McKinley Place
Located at 4th Avenue corner 25th Street, BGC
Currently standing as the 12th tallest building in Taguig at a height of 149 meters, One McKinley Place, a 43-storey residential project, includes two separate towers with curved architectural structure. A wraparound blue-shaded glass, stainless-steel curtain wall, and a two-level podium connects two towers. The structure's facade reflects the outdoors, a genius detail executed by its designers HOK (Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum) in collaboration with R. Villarosa Architects.
W City Center
Located at 7th Avenue corner 30th Street, BGC
W City Center's beyond-the-box design makes it more than just a 29-storey office building with 4 storeys of retail facilities in the lower levels. Its façade is composed of a series of balconies and bulging metallic mullions that allow the office employees inside the building step outside and enjoy the view. The brains behind this masterpiece is Brooklyn-based CAZA (CARLOS ARNAIZ) Architects. They envisioned City Center Tower's look "to push back against the geometric limits of the standard core and shell of a corporate office building by introducing a series of concentric circles within this traditional rectangular structure."
Located at 31st Street corner 9th Avenue, BGC
Designed by Gensler, the same brilliant team behind Shanghai Tower and Incheon Airport, ORÉ Central's all-glass, postmodernist structure easily draws public attention. This 30-storey office building's green efforts include having energy-efficient lighting and air-conditioning as well as harvesting rainwater for irrigation and other uses, recognized as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-certified structure. This one-of-a-kind design led the building to take home the Best Office Development, Best Landscape Architectural Design, and Highly Commended in Best Office Architectural Design awards at the 2016 Philippines Property Awards.
