PropertyAccess Philippines hosted a Chinese New Year webinar on Feng Shui and Chinese Zodiac predictions for the year 2022 last January 30. Leading over 120 participants of the session was Venus Wang-Lysiak, who’s both a real estate agent and a Chinese metaphysics master. Venus has been in the property industry since 2001. Having come from a real estate family, she’s been interested in real estate from the tender age of 12. In this sessions, she talks in-depth about Zodiac signs as well as Feng Shui both at home and in the workplace.

With everyone living in unprecedented times, our future gives rise to a lot of worry and intrusive thoughts. 2022 is the Year of the Water Tiger and it is said that this has an effect in our feng shui, our daily lives, our careers, and even our relationships. But what exactly are Zodiac signs first?
The Chinese Zodiac
The Chinese zodiac, known as shengxiao (/shnng-sshyao/, 'born resembling'), is made up of 12 animals. The Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig are the animals in sequence. During the Chinese New Year (in January or February), the Chinese zodiac years simultaneously begin and conclude. Each year of the 12-year zodiac cycle is symbolized by a zodiac animal, each with its own set of claimed characteristics. The year 2022 is the Tiger's year, following the Ox from the previous year.

People in China believe that a person's horoscope, personality, and love compatibility are all linked to his or her Chinese zodiac sign, which is decided by his or her birth year. In Chinese astrology, there are two schools of thought on when a zodiac year begins: Chinese New Year or the First Day of Spring.
Chinese New Year dates between January 21st and February 20th. The first of the 24 Solar Terms, which begins on February 3rd or 4th, marks the start of Spring. The Chinese New Year is celebrated by the majority of Chinese people as the start of the zodiac year. This is a common Chinese astrological belief. The first solar word is only used by traditionalists and professional astrologers.
The Feng Shui Philosophy for 2022
Feng Shui on the other hand is a little bit different. The Chinese characters "The terms "feng" and "shui" refer to "wind" and "water" respectively, and are borrowed from old poetry about human existence being intertwined with and flowing with the environment.
The feng shui philosophy is a method of arranging objects in living spaces in order to achieve a sense of balance with the natural world, with the objective of harnessing energy forces and establishing harmony between a person and their surroundings. This concept is known as the Tao in Asian culture, which means "the way." "Taoism is the way of nature, and all of feng shui's core principles are based on it. Take a look at the five components, the commanding position, and the bagua, which are all important feng shui concepts.

Venus shares that to begin your Feng Shui journey, you first have to use a compass in your home and find South-East. The Southern part of the house is typically associated with luck and prosperity. This is the suggested location to work at or even to swipe on dating apps for relationship luck, so make sure to stay in the south part and face it as well!
Venus also discusses Bazi: Which is simply a system of metaphysical knowledge to predict the future of an individual using just one’s date of birth. It’s used to accelerate performance in work, strengthen our relationships with others, improve weaknesses, and maximize talents and potential. Bazi, based on your personality traits as well, can be used to determine which field of work you’ll be doing. To be perfectly specific, the year 2022 is a Water Tiger year. These two combined create an element of wood. If your energy revolves around wood, this will be a fantastic year for you!

Venus also recommends downloading the BaZiHero app to find out which element you are to best utilize this 2022, and bring in the most luck and prosperity that you can! This year is a wood element, so what does that mean for us? Because wood energy is associated with the east, looking east might bring you good fortune. It has the potential to improve your money, health, and life. Because green is the hue connected with the Wood element, you may use it to adorn the east side of your house or place a green plant there to bring yourself good luck.
Water creates Wood according to the five-element producing cycle, thus you may also add some Water to the east to improve your luck. A fish tank filled with water, for example, may be placed to the east of your home. However, according to the five-element overcoming cycle, you should avoid placing the Metal element in the east.
Specifically, if you are a wood elemental, here’s what this year means for you: Wood year people are patient, sympathetic, and understanding. You are wise beyond their years, like the vast roots of a great, ancient oak. Growing at all times. Wood people are as solid and practical as they are warm and pleasant. Trees communicate with each other through their subterranean network of roots, and communication and growth go hand in hand for wood people.
Wood types, on the other hand, might become too competitive or preoccupied with success for the sake of achievement since they are so focused on growth and opportunity. You might become obtrusive and violate others' limits if they are overly intent on winning. Your vision is powerful, but it should not obstruct the advancement of others! Just make sure to avoid conflict because water is very close to wood which can also mean losses, specifically, financial ones.
Final Thoughts
According to Venus, this is the year you need to pay a lot of attention to details — monitor your wealth, career, relationships, and especially health. It is also best to stay out of trouble this year to let luck and prosperity enter your life. With that, do not let negativity trample on your luck and have a happy new year ahead!
