Our bedrooms are a reflection of our likes, our tastes, and our personalities. Bedrooms can also reveal our current disposition: are our minds cluttered? Are we calm and collected? Do we pay attention to how messy it is or otherwise? While some enjoy the look and feel of their bedrooms, there are a few who might feel the need for change.
Have you fallen out of love with the current look of your bedroom? Do you want a bedroom overhaul, but can only do it little by little? If you need fresh ideas for your bedroom, look no further! Below are 9 trends to make your bedroom look better than ever!
Bedroom Trends For Sleeping
1. Sage & Olive Green Everything!

Often popping up in our Pinterest collections and on home decor Instagram accounts, sage and olive green seem to be all the rage these days. Duvets, comforters, pillows, blankets, and bedsheets in sage and olive green give off nice and calm vibes, and continue to skyrocket in popularity.
You can take this color to other parts of your home, like the kitchen or the living room. Consider buying peel-and-stick wallpapers in sage or olive green, especially if you’re not wholeheartedly committed to this color trend. Sage advice if you ask us!

2. Statement Beds!

As Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s would say, “it’s useful being top banana in the shock department.” Everyone loves a good statement piece, and this goes for your bedroom as well. Your bed should stand out from the rest of your bedroom pieces.
Canopy beds are trendy right now due to their soft and calm feel that is reminiscent of Balinese villas. As per Elle Decor, canopy beds do a great job of softening the atmosphere, especially with a sheer and gossamer fabric draping from it.

3. Wall Sconces!

The trend of getting coordinating lamps by the bedside is slowly drifting into obscurity. Your best option today are wall sconces. Just be sure to apply a rule of thumb when you get these sconces installed: not too high, not too distant.
Aside from getting a more symmetrical and modern look to your bedroom, having your night light attached to the wall frees up the space on your nightstand. This way, you can put your glasses or alarm clock on your nightstand without worrying if you might knock your lamp over.

Bedroom Trends For Personal Care
1. Mindfulness & Wellness Spots!

Bedrooms are multifunctional. They’re not just for napping or spending time with loved ones. Bedrooms serve as resting spaces for life’s little pauses. People can use their bedrooms to just breathe and decompress from high pressure environments like school and work.
Today, we see crystals like rose quartz and amethyst, as well as jade rollers, used more frequently by women now than ever. You can put these by your bedside for beautifying purposes and supposed calming effects. For facial massages, try gua shas and jade rollers.

2. Back-Friendly Chairs!

Some bedrooms double as home offices. What used to be just an extra desk in people’s rooms has now turned into their everyday workstation. Make this experience more comfortable and enjoyable by getting back-friendly office chairs, also known as ergonomic chairs.
If you’re worried that these won’t match the theme of your bedroom, don’t panic! Ergonomic chairs come in different colors and styles. You can still preserve your bedroom theme even after getting a back-friendly chair.

3. Essential Oil Diffusers!

Making use of ultrasonic pulses, diffusers mix water with essential oils. This spreads your favorite scented essential oil all over the bedroom. Some scents recommended for sleeping include lavender and jasmine.
While many people associate essential oil diffusers with luxury, these are actually very affordable and even beneficial to our health. There are some studies that show how these can relieve stress and anxiety, which are hurdles to good sleep.

Bedroom Trends For Aesthetics
1. Framed Line Art!

You may have asked your artist friends to draw you in line art, or have attempted to do this yourself. Believed to be of Nordic/Scandinavian origin, this artsy staple makes for good wall art.
Line art is associated with minimalism. Despite being commonly chosen by women, line art can also be masculine if done right. Frame your favorite line art piece and have it colored in pastel or neutral tones. Place it in an area where it complements the room best.

2. Bright Neon LED Lights!

The TikTok trends are far from over. Most Gen Z bedrooms today are modified for making bright and colorful TikTok videos. One way to do this is to put neon LED lights on your room. You can attach LED lights right where the walls and the ceiling meet. This is the cheapest option.
If you want to level up, then consider purchasing a neon stand of your favorite object or Anime character. You can even go a level higher by having a neon sign installed in your room. This neon sign can be your favorite quote, your name, or just an artsy fixture.

3. Woven Furniture!

Environmentally friendly and made of strong materials, woven furniture have become beach resort staples. Furniture made of rattan can last for decades on end. Your parents probably have these pieces in their lanai, be they chairs in patios and porches, or tables in verandas.
It’s best to add woven furniture to your bedroom if your theme is tropical. To self-proclaimed plantitas and plantitos out there, this is perfect for you!

What’s Out of Style?
Some trends that we won't be seeing much of include industrial looking pieces like metallic or black beds, bulky bedside lamps, and statement walls. If you have at least one of these in your bedroom, don't feel bad. You can work your creative bones and modify these to your liking.
How about you? What's your favorite bedroom trend? Which of these are the ones you would suggest to your friends? Which would you skip? Whatever you like (or dislike), there's always room for you to insert your uniqueness and creativity! Don’t hesitate anymore and start your bedroom overhaul now!
