Father's Day Special: Interview with Real Estate Dads

Get to know more about PropertyAccess' partnered super dads for this year's Father's day interview.

For this year's Father's day, we asked some motivational fathers and real estate professionals partnered with PropertyAccess on what it's like to be a father working in the field of real estate, and how they manage life and work at home during the pandemic.

Rodel Saliva Gana (Assistant Vice President for Asia Pacific IV Region of Megaworld Corp.)

1. How did real estate help you and your family?

As a real estate practitioner, it really helps me a lot in terms of finances and in being a good person.  Today I have an investment, like a co-franchise in a gasoline station, and buy a lot for building homes in the future. That's why I keep on saving and investing for my family.

2. How is your work/ lifestyle balance especially during these times?

It really affects the whole real estate industry in this time of pandemic, but we need to find ways to continue selling, so we try to recruit for additional networks and post in social media to attract clients. I also attend some seminars to help sell online and give presentations online.

3. Do you think that being a father enhances your capabilities as a real estate professional? Which fatherly traits do you think so?

Patience. As the father or head of the family, you need a lot of patience to raise your own family because not all your wants are given to you instantly. You need a step-by-step procedure to succeed while being a father like in real estate because sometimes, you need to fall and stand up strong.

4. How would you define home as a father and a real estate professional?

"There's no place like home" is one of the best statements for me, and I applied it in real estate. I consider real estate as my second home. I treat my clients as I treat my family. I always try to be true to all my clients and network. I serve them well and assist them to the fullest. I treat them not only as my client and network, but I treat them as my family members. Because of them I earn, and the earnings I receive will sustain my family needs.

5. Top 3 tips you could give to your fellow dad agents.
